Our Entrance Examination is around the corner:
Dear Partner,
We are delighted to welcome you back to school. We are optimistic that this year will be fruitful for all.
SAFETY IN SCHOOL
ACHS is a safety, conscious organization. Therefore, we have put all the requirements for school resumption as stipulated by the state government. We assure you of your ward(s)’ safety in school. We also implore you to ensure they have their protective gears such as face shield/mask and alcohol base-hand sanitizer with them always.
With God helping us, we will beat the Covid-19.
SECOND TERM
We would like to reiterate that this term is a short one. Hence, we sincerely want to appeal to all partners to encourage learners’ regular attendance and 100% punctuality. With this, we will be able to achieve our instructional objectives. ACHS frowns at absenteeism. However, should there arise unavoidable situations whereby a child has to come late to school, or unable to attend, partners should communicate promptly to the school management so that makeup class can be prepared for the child.
ADHERENCE TO PAYMENT PLAN
We have designed a payment plan for all partners to make payment easy. All partners are to choose a plan and strictly comply with the selected payment plan. We would like to emphasize that continuous service will not be offered to defaulters.
ONLINE SCHOOL MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (PORTAL)
Our school management system (portal) is now active. You will be informed when there is a need for our heritages to access the portal for their assignments/home-works, progressive assessment and tutorials.
PROGRAMS AND ACTIVITIES FOR THE TERM
Math Olympics: This is an in-house math competition for pupils/students at the various year groups. We aim to prepare our math geniuses ahead of the intended external competitions we plan to start taking part in from the next session. This is intended to bring out the mathematical genius in our heritages. We encourage every partner to motivate as well as support their children/ wards towards this program.
Spelling Stars: Like the Math Olympics, we also aim to develop learners who are vast in vocabulary exploits by creating a competitive platform in house for the various year groups, hoping that great spelling ambassadors will emerge to represent the school in the nearest future. We encourage that parents should support every child to participate in the program.
Learning reinforcement: We will be engaging our learners more constructively as from this term from various perspectives. Hence, we will be having a lot of outdoor activities as part of our means to create relevant learning experiences to our pupils/students. We urge you, partners, to kindly give your support whenever such activities would be carried out. You will be adequately notified as at when due to help get your child/ward prepared and well equipped.
Globetrotting: In line with our aim to raise global citizens, our learners will be acquiring knowledge about the other parts of the world. We will be engaging a virtual tour around the globe as from this term. They will learn about the various continents, countries, and cities regarding their cultures, locations, climates, natural resources, inventions, population, political styles etc.
Talent Development Program (TDP): We will have our talent and skill development program every Friday from this term. Henceforth, all extracurricular activities will be taking place on Fridays. This day shall be dedicated to talent development and skill acquisition through the club activities. Along with the usual clubs, we will be introducing new activities as highlighted below:
(1) Fashion Quest- For learners interested in acquiring vocational and entrepreneurial skills in fashion designing and dressmaking. It is opened to learners in Jacinth (Year 3) to year 12.
(2) Press & Public Speaking Club- This club is for learners interested in developing public speaking skills. We will have highly skilled instructors who have track records in raising children with exceptional public speaking ability.
Please note that every child will have the opportunity to participate in as many as three (3) TDP activities every week. Kindly encourage and support your child/ward to subscribe for their desired club activities.
Special Days: We will be observing some special days starting from this term. Some of which may require costumes for each child. Such occasions are:
Rep Your Club Day- This activity is designed to create a fun-filled learning environment and social awareness among our students by acknowledging and respecting their areas of interest outside the school. Pupils/students and staff are expected to dress up in their favorite sporting club’s Jersey/Sporting kit.
Note: We will observe our usual routine on such days.
Superhero’s Day: This program is designed to instilling a sense of responsibility in our children and motivate them to be responsible citizens who stand for justice, fairness and equity, well being, and safety of the general humans- starting from their immediate environment in a fun-filled manner.
On this day, learners in the preschool and primary section will come to school dressed in their favorite cartoon superhero costumes. We will set short session aside to celebrate known superheroes in our real world (some of whom could be local and global icons who have contributed positively to humanity). The world needs heroes, and we believe our children are potential heroes for their generation.
Career Day: On this day, learners are to come dressed in their favorite/aspired career costumes. We will be having a career workshop for the various categories of learners on the day.
We have put these and more activities in line with our mission, which is to raise children that are eager to learn and can function exceptionally globally. We implore every partner to please cooperate with us to help us achieve these great goals. Our prayer is that the almighty God will bless you immensely to be able to rise to the needs of our beloved heritages.
Thank you for your continuous partnership, support, and unrelenting determination to see our vision come through.
