READ ME A BOOK AROUND THE WORLD.-- (February 4 -- March 6. )????????
Read Me A Book is a CLIS initiative designed to get the Leaders excited about reading and to encourage our children's guardians to get involved in reading to their children.
We consider the children's guardians to include not just mums and dads, but grandmas and grandpas, aunties and uncles, Godparents but not home caregivers.
Now, this is how it works. Guardians are encouraged to read as many books as they can from February 4 until March 6 2020 to their children. A log of all the books read to the child will be filled out on a log sheet and returned to school every monday at the start of a new week. Please make sure you request from the school for a copy of the reading log sheet if one is not sent home already.
The children will be allowed to choose books from school every week. You can supplement with books from your library, family and friends. At the end of this programme, the guardian who has read the highest number of books will earn a gift voucher and the child will also get a gift.
The competition starts today. So don't delay, get started and get involved..
